Pareshan raat saari hai...
Pareshan raat saari hai, sitaron tum to so jao,
sukun-ke-murk tari hai, sitaron tum to so jao.
Tumhe kya aaj bhi koi agar milne nahi aaya,
ye baazi humne haari hai, sitaron tum to so jao.
Kahe jaate ho ro ro ke humara haal duniya se,
ye kaisi raaz daari hai, sitaron tum to so jao
Pareshan raat saari hai, sitaron tum to so jao,
sukun ke murk tari hai, sitaron tum to so jao.
This is a beautiful song by Chitra Singh from the album "The Milestone". I liked how subtly the poet has shown her emotions; how she says that she is pained and unable to sleep. She is alone, and just wants to be completely alone now; so that she can just enjoy the night.

Wonderful! And how true....sometime we want to be left alone with ourselves. As somebody said...."Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is the richness of self."
@Manish
Nice to read this version of the ghazal. Would like to listen this one.. And particularly the last two paragraphs are too goo.
@Suji
Yeah, probably its another example of looking at the same thing differently...
