Yeh to nahin ke gham nahin...

Yeh to nahin ke gham nahin
Haan meri aankh num nahin….

Ab na khushi ki hai khushi
Gham ka bhi ab to gham nahin….

Hum bhi to aaj hum nahin….
Tum bhi to tum nahin ho aaj

Maut agar shey-maat hai
Maut se zist kum nahin….
Don’t say, no sorrow ever strike me
It did but nobody could however see

No big happiness now enchant me
Nor for any sorrow do I grieve

Neither are you, the true you
Nor me, the real me

For death be my check-mate,
Life I live is no less than dying each day....

U hv a really got hold of a awesome lines of Firaq Gorakhpuri..carries gr8 depth n very true indeed...the initial lines conveys the fact that theres comes a saturation even with emotions after u stays with them for long time...n poet also conveys that pple alter with time n i guess this happens with everybdy..that we rather notice in pple around us n even in ourselves ..

@ Nisheet, Binny

Thanks for the appreciation :) I guess, he has really written very beautiful lines, and there are a number of ways to interpret it. Its really true that there comes a saturation in emotions as well, and we are continuisly changing... its of course a lifelong learning experience..:)
